Permanent hair removal with diode laser – effective and gentle

The treatment: Permanent hair removal with a diode laser is one of the most modern and effective methods for permanently eliminating unwanted body hair. This method targets the hair follicles by penetrating the skin with high-energy laser light, specifically destroying the hair roots without damaging the surrounding tissue. The diode laser is particularly safe and gentle because it can be specifically adapted to different skin and hair types. The treatment is virtually painless and, when used correctly, leads to permanent hair reduction.
Treatment procedure:
- Consultation and skin analysis: Every treatment begins with a detailed consultation. This involves examining the patient's skin and hair type to individually adjust the laser parameters. The treatment process is explained, and any questions regarding aftercare and expected results are answered. A small sample area is also treated to rule out any possible overreactions.
- Preparation: Please shave the area 1-2 days before treatment. Before the actual treatment begins, the skin will be thoroughly cleansed and freed of any residue. The area to be treated will be shaved to ensure the laser can work directly on the hair follicles without losing energy to the hair surface.
- Treatment procedure: The diode laser is passed over the skin in short, controlled pulses. The laser light penetrates the top layer of skin and is absorbed by the melanin in the hair. The resulting heat destroys the hair follicle, inhibiting long-term hair growth. Depending on the treatment area, the session can last between 15 minutes (e.g., upper lip) and 1-2 hours (e.g., legs or back).
- Cooling and care: During the laser treatment, the skin is cooled to minimize possible redness or minor irritation. Special care products can be applied to soothe and protect the skin. Because we work with a cooled laser head, the treatment is generally completely painless.
- Aftercare: After treatment, it is recommended to avoid direct sunlight for a few weeks and use a high sun protection factor (SPF 50) to protect the skin. Any slight redness or swelling that may occur usually subsides within a few hours. The final result will be visible after several sessions, as hair goes through different growth phases, and only hair in the active growth phase can be effectively removed.
- Number of sessions: To achieve permanent hair removal, 6 to 10 sessions are typically required, spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart. The exact number depends on individual hair growth, density, and treatment area.

Advantages of the diode laser:
- Fast and effective hair removal: Particularly suitable for large treatment areas.
- Gentle on the skin: Suitable for almost all skin types, as the laser acts precisely on the hair follicle.
- Minimal risk of side effects: Thanks to the integrated skin cooling and adjustable energy levels, the treatment is very safe and virtually painless.
Permanent hair removal with diode laser offers a simple and convenient solution for long-lasting smooth skin – without the constant hassle of shaving, waxing, or epilation.
